The lifestyle of a financially illiterate employee.

The lifestyle of a financially illiterate employee.
Buys a car on credit he pays R4000-R5000
Goes out every weekend to celebrate life.
Buys groceries and sends some money home.
They earn from R15000-R30000.00
Buys a phone on credit.
Buys clothes on credit.
Uses a credit card for bad debts like partying..
Doesn’t listen to other people’s opinions on how to use his money because he believes his worked hard for it and doesn’t need people..

He dates different women because majority of women are easley attracted to material things and success.

He gets married using credit.
He stays in a flat with his family because by the time they decide to get married they have already spoiled thier credit records so majority don’t qualify for bonds.

At the ages of 35-50 the Financially illeterate employee is grown up his got children to look after and his got to pay off all these debts he created over the past 15 year’s..
Life becomes harder as they grow up.
You find that they have not saved any fund’s for thier children’s education..
Wen the Children grow up they struggle to take them to varsity..
But they have had 10 year’s to plan for thier next 20 year’s..

A financially illeterate employee lives for now and forgets about the future. He has the fear of dying and living his money behind and not enjoying life..

Steve Jobs is dead but he makes more money that 95% of the people who are alive today because he was brave enough to sacrifice the majority of his lifetime to build something that will feed generations and generation’s.
Look at ITunes look at IPhone look at MacBook..

Why not use for first few years of your career to plan for Your future, create multiple income streams and build a legacy for your children and then start celebrating later on wen you know you have invested enough for your kids education you have bought a property and you have made other investments with your salary..

Why are people afraid of investing for the future?

If you had R2.6 million and bought a Porche

If you had R2.6 million and bought a Porche and an A45 AMG then rented a R20000 a month house in the CBD.
PEOPLE will respect you they will actually worship you..
All the women will bow down to you..

But if you had the same R2.6 million and bought a Corrola and three investment properties..
People won’t even recognize you..
To them your still a brokey because you can’t flash your properties everyday on Facebook..
But you can flash your car’s and your expensive suits..

You see it’s eather you want to gain respect from your charted accountants or you want to gain respect from the general public..

Wen you buy three properties cash and a corola your advisors will respect you.
You have built your portfolio and your earning rental income on those properties on a mission to acquire more..

I never thought I’d ever have more than 5000 followers and people who respect me since I don’t own any of the luxurious thing’s I’m on my foundation phase..

3 years ago I decided I was going to impress my advisors and my bank manager not the public..

The public will be impressed once I have enough assets to balance my finances..
I don’t want to be a joke to bankers while I’m a king to my own people..
They must see that not all black people lack finacial education..

So its eather you work hard to impress the streets or you build wealth and impress your advisors.

This couple had been studying in University they both came from poor families.

This couple had been studying in University they both came from poor families. Unfortunately the girl had to drop out and look for a job. She found a job in a busy restuarant they were staying in a one bedroom shack paying R300 monthly rent.

The lady was covering all the expenses in the house until the guy completed his degree.

After the guy completed the job he got a job. The girl was still a waitress while the guy was an Engineer. They moved into a new apartment.

When the guy started working. He started seeing other women. He would compare this woman to his.

The women at his work place had standards. The would smell of expensive cologne they would wear expensive clothes expensive make cup go to gym after work had beautiful bodies.

The guy was then confused as he was comparing these women to his girlfriend there was a huge difference of cause with the make up they looked better, his wife couldn’t afford expensive cologne and gym membership but she had been down with him supported him from the beggining.

The guy started acting up at home he didn’t love his girlfriend anymore after he got a job he became a man of standards.

His girlfriend was heart broken but furthered her studies.

The guy started living the life. The life of standards or fakery where your only appreciated because of what you have.

He got married to a wife of standards they had babies. But because they were people of standards they got into debt which caused them to fight everyday and got a divorce.

The wife took half the guys assets at 42 the guy is a broken depressed drunkard. He tried to go back to his first ex girlfriend many times but she couldn’t take him back.

The girlfriend is well of the guy is broke.

My point is.:

Appreciate the people who love you for who you are. The woman who loves you when you have two underwears and when sleeping on floors is the woman you shouldn’t forget when you get to the top.

Standards are an illusion. The bible says we are all equal. Money is not everything it’s just an instrument that is used to trade.
When you feel like your better than others your no longer real. Your fake.

Never forget the people who have been with you from the ground.
Most people you will meet at the top are not real people. Its people who will love you for what you have.
T
his is why so many rich people are depressed and their children are taking drugs. It’s not easy living a fake life.

I’ve seen very poor people in Africa who are happier than people in surbaban areas.

I was with one millionaire friend of mine the other day.

I was with one millionaire friend of mine the other day. He had gone through Facebook and found me. He then realized that I have more than 17k followers so he was making jokes about me being a celebrity we were all laughing.

He owns a shopping centre and two buildings in the CBD yet doesn’t even drive one sport car and wear expensive brands.

What I realized is that there so many rich people with money that we don’t even know off.

Then there people who haven’t made it yet but we see them all over the media.
For axample I watched the last Skinny Sbu interview when he was talking about his struggle.

That he was everywhere on Forbes magazine,CNBC e.t.c yet he was on R800k debt.
They made him a celebrity not knowing his financials that now put him under pressure. He wasn’t happy about selling his car because he was thinking what is the whole country going to say if they see me in a taxi.

My point here is my millionaire friends are under no pressure. They have money but still they don’t have pressure they not maintaining any image they just acquiring more assets. Even if they sell their cars and houses at some point to save their businesses no one will notice. That’s the unfair advantage these guys have.

But us the up and coming entrepreneurs they turn us in to celebrities before we even make it. While we still building up we have this big image to maintain all eyes on us.
Even when we identify great opportunities we can’t sell our cars and take taxis because we worried about what people will think.

Let me tell you something. They got us now. The large corporations got us. We are not a threat to them anymore because we are more focused on materialism and becoming famous then we are focused on making our own cars, banks etc.

Black excellence is not materialism. Its building brands creating jobs. Its us becoming producers not consumers all the time.

Let’s wake it’s good to be popular and add value to other people’s lives like all revolutionaries of the past. But don’t put yourself under pressure.

Don’t put yourself in a situation where you have to maintain a specific lifestyle.

We are scared of things that don’t even matter.

We are scared of things that don’t even matter. One day you will be in your hospital bed regretting all the opportunities that you didn’t take because you were scared of failure.
Actually failure is not the main problem here the problem is your fear of judgment.

Your scared of what people will think if they see you in the Township again when your business has failed.
What people will think if they see you taking a taxi again.
What people will think when your repeating the same clothes.
What people will think when they see someone who left the rural areas to study at the University selling food at the taxi rank.

Scared of what your ex colleagues will think when they see you selling perfumes or skin products after they have retreched you.

Wheb your dead it won’t really matter what people think or thought about you what will matter is. How much money you left for your kids.

I’m still saying today if they retrench you today. Downgrade your lifestyle and do something very wise with that money.

Think about yourself not the public opinion. Free yourself from the fear of judgment.

Take chances it’s okay to make mistakes. You only have one life to live don’t live it under other people’s shadows.

When people talk about real estate investing.

When people talk about real estate investing. They only talk about residential units no one talks about investing in retail spaces.

Like this commercial space it’s R1.2 million has two shops and offices already occupied by a dentist.
Your bond will be R11k
Your estimated rent per shop will be R6k and for the offices R12k
So total rental income should be around R24k
If you buy this property and get tenants that will sign five year plus leases it means in 5 years the bond will be paid off.

Let’s compare this commercial space to two flats. You use the same R1.2 million you buy two flats. Estimated rental income from each will be around R5500 total R11k bond R11k still going to minus levies.

So would you opt for buying a flat with your money or buying a retail space.

People always complain that the rent is too high in Town. But they never think of buying those spaces. Buy the shop rent it out. Buy the liquor store rent it out. By the saloon rent it out. Let someone else do the hard work for you. There are plenty of good commercial spaces you can get for R1 million.

If you decide not to have a job

If you decide not to have a job or follow the norms of the society then you have to accept the consequences that come with it.

You can’t be complaining that your 33 and your peers are married have houses yet you still struggling to pay rent and have no kids yet.

You chose this life.
The system says

“Go to school get a job work for us we will protect you. Provide you with food and shelter. You will also have fun every weekend and will give you a bonus on December every year.
Your children shall do the same. Generation to generation you shall work for us and build our empires. We will give you loans so you can be able to drive nice cars and live in nice houses. You shall work for us and build our empires in order to pay for the loans that we gave you. You work for us. We own you.”

That’s the system if you decide to go against those rules you will suffer big time. You become a competitor to large corporations when you start your own business. They make you suffer.
They make it difficult for you to get funding, There are so many regulations that have been put in place making it hard for you to open your own business. They spend so much on marketing and control the media to remain monopolies.

That’s why you suffer. Being an entrepreneur is a movement. It has to come from the heart. You have to be willing to go through all the pain and suffering. Losing your house, family friends and becoming a joke to those who are protected by the system.

This is why a 33 year old employee has a house and a car and a 33 year old entrepreneur is still confused and still losing big time.
Perseverance is the key. This thing that it takes 5 years for one to succeed doesn’t apply to everyone for some it may even take 30 years. It’s a long journey. The reason why it’s so hard its because we were meant to fail.

You must have a strong will power and patience in order to succeed. Don’t lose focus.
Failure is part of the game but you must keep going.

This guy had reached

This guy had reached at the age of 45. He was married with two children. His wife was unemployed but always had that business mind. At One time she’s selling Tupperware one time she’s selling perfume. She wasn’t that profitable.

When the father was waiting for his money from retirement things got tough as there was no money coming in they were even struggling for food.

They lived in a three bedroom apartment in the surbubs.
The father was mad depressed drinking every day the mother had to stand up and be strong during that situation.

She decided to rent our their three bedroom her and her daughters and husband were now slipping in the living room.

The money they collected from renting the rooms they used it to pay Bill’s.
They were actually surviving. That’s when the husband started believing in his wife.
He had never supported his wife’s businesses and thought she was wasting time and money.

Even though the money was coming in from the rent it still wasn’t enough they struggled with school fees.

The family had a van the mother came up with the idea of cooking and selling food at the taxi ranks. They would wake up at 4:00 am start cooking. Around 9:00am they would be at the rank selling food.

They were sleeping with R1000 profit daily. The father fell in love with business when he started seeing the money coming in.

They went on registered a company and got government projects.
Today the father is busy with tenders and the mother is making R3000.00 -R5000.00 a day and sells food in two taxi ranks employs 5 people.

The family is now well off.

My point is.

1. A job is not guaranteed being permanently employed doesn’t mean the company is guaranteed not to have problems in the future that will force it it retrench people.

2. Choose your partner wisely. Get a mentally strong partner who will stand up and support you during hard times. Someone who would sleep in the shack with you if she has to.
Someone who will make stew for you even when there are no onions and tomatoes using what’s available in the house. Someone who will not complain.

3. If you die today will your children be well taken care of by your partner is he or she mentally strong to use your assets to the best advantage of your children? Like this woman who used the house to generate rental income and used the van to start a food business.

4. The family became richer after the retrenchment of the husband. Because they had nothing to lose that’s when they started capitalizing and thinking outside the box. That’s when the mother realized her true potential.
You can only realize your true potential when your in danger or when your outside your comfort zone.

5. There are no guarantees in life. Today you can be up tomorrow you can be down always be prepared for the downside.

So this guy owns a building with 30 rooms

So this guy owns a building with 30 rooms he just got a deal from a University that they will pay him R3000pm per student.
His now going to renovate his building and add 30 more rooms.
Because its also a warehouse. His now going to make R400k monthly from his building
.

The funny thing is that he drives a very cheap V.W and wears cheap clothes. If you see him you won’t even recognize that he has money.

I was surprised that he got the offer last week and his already started with the renovations.
It’s going to cost him R1 million plus to renovate the place and he has the cash.

That’s what I like about having cash you can seize opportunities easily.
Something comes up you invest now.

Some people are driving the latest MERCS yet even when you show them an opportunity where they can invest R100k they won’t have that kind of money.

It’s sad.
I’d rather look poor and have a fat bank balance then look rich and have a poor bank balance.

Choose wisely.
